Fashion Blogging

My first experience of blogging gave me an insight into networking and publicizing. It has given me the inspiration to create my own blog.

At first I thought what is a blog? Why do people use them? How does it work?...

It was when I started to browse fashion and make-up blogs online I came across answers. A blog is an online journal/diary entry where blogger create daily updates, learn tips, share personal experiences, discuss topics, and write opinions and comments.

Being fashion student and make-up artist I browsed the Internet and came across blogs...they were amazing! A few in particular caught my eye, http://www.stylebubble.co.uk/style_bubble/ which is listed in the top 10 fashion blogger online. The blogger shows a complete and extensive outlook on fashion, she’s not an expert just a passionate fashion lover. She writes posts on the latest trends and shows, shares her opinions on designers and has links to other great fashion sites, check it out.

Another astonishing blogger is 12 year old Tavi a fashion inspiration from Chicago, her blog shows her fearless approach to fashion and she has become an online celebrity because of it, http://stylerookie.tumblr.com/.

This next one I found gave video link tutorials of make-up lessons it’s called Make-up by Risa, she shows step by step lessons into achieving her fashion make-up, she also lists the make-up she has used, http://makeupbyrisa.blogspot.com/2010/07/karat-couture-editorial-makeup-tutorial.html this is a great link to view and share your comments on the latest make-up designs.

I love Fashion, Make-up and Art and I believe that fashion not only makes people feel good but also describes personality and individuality, everyone has different look and taste in fashion and each should be respected in their own right. These are a couple of quotes by designers that I liked:-

~ "Style" is an expression of individualism mixed with charisma. Fashion is something that comes after style. ~ John Fairchild

Fashion fades, only style remains the same.” - Coco Chanel

“I have always believed that fashion was not only to make women more beautiful, but also to reassure them, give them confidence,” – Yves Saint Laurent
